Art in the Park, presented on Memorial Day weekend, is the first major art show of the season in the Dayton area. This juried exhibition of fine arts and fine crafts gives our guests an opportunity to purchase unique and beautifully crafted objects directly from the artist. The Riverbend Arts Center Council, a tax-exempt, non-profit organization, sponsors this event with support from Montgomery County and the city of Dayton. The Council's principle objectives are to promote and support the activities of Riverbend Art Center, on whose grounds the festival is held. The variety of art exhibited at this show serves to introduce the community to the types of classes offered by the center. All proceeds are used to produce the festival, enhance the programming of the art center, and to assist in other non-profit arts activities.
