Kay holds a B.A. in Art Education from St. Francis College and a M.A.T. in Art Therapy from Wright State University. She has 15 years experience teaching art in public schools and 15 years of experience weaving. Kay is a member of 3 fiber guilds; Weavers Guild of the Miami Valley, Greater Cincinnati Weavers Guild and the Upper Valley Fiber Guild. She runs her own business, "The Tippecanoe Weaver" specializing in handwovens for the home, along with working in fiber with spinning own yarns, dyeing, felting and knitting.
